Ashby's Foundations plan is priced by the size of your whole company, not by how many people recruit. It costs $300 a month for 1 to 10 employees, $400 for 11 to 25, $500 for 26 to 50, $700 for 51 to 75 and $900 for 76 to 100. An annual term takes 10% off each tier. Ashby reassesses the price every year, so the bill follows your headcount up.
At 101 employees the published ladder ends. Ashby's Plus and Enterprise plans are quoted, and Ashby's help documentation says accounts above Foundations are billed by paid seat.
What Ashby charges
These figures are from Ashby's pricing page, read on October 3 and 4, 2026, with each company size and both payment terms selected in turn. The page shows prices in US dollars and has no currency switch.
| Company size | Monthly term, per month | Annual term, per month | Annual term, per year |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 to 10 employees | $300 | $270 | $3,240 |
| 11 to 25 employees | $400 | $360 | $4,320 |
| 26 to 50 employees | $500 | $450 | $5,400 |
| 51 to 75 employees | $700 | $630 | $7,560 |
| 76 to 100 employees | $900 | $810 | $9,720 |
| 101 employees and up | Quote (Plus, then Enterprise) | Quote | Quote |
The page opens with 11 to 25 employees and the monthly term already selected, which is where the $400 in Ashby's own search snippet comes from. It is one step on a ladder where the top step costs three times the bottom one.
Payment follows the term. Ashby's FAQ says monthly plans are paid by credit card, while annual plans can be paid by card, direct deposit or wire.
What your bill does as you hire
Ashby's FAQ explains the startup model in one line. Pricing is based on "the size of your organization at that point of purchase, not on a seat or talent team basis", and "Pricing is reassessed annually." So the number you sign at is the number for that year, and the next annual reassessment prices the company you have become.
Take a company that buys Ashby at 18 people, reaches 40 a year later and 80 the year after, paying annually each time.
Year one is $4,320. Year two moves up a tier to $5,400. Year three skips a tier and lands at $9,720. That is $19,440 over three years, and the third year costs more than twice the first.
Nothing about the price depends on how many people use Ashby. A founder, two hiring managers and a first recruiter cost the same as a founder alone, because Foundations is not priced by user count. That makes Foundations cheap to roll out to every interviewer and expensive to carry through a fast hiring year.
What happens at 101 people
Past 100 employees, Ashby's FAQ says it moves to "a custom pricing model". Its help article on seat-based pricing describes how seats are counted.
You pay for users with Elevated Access and Organizational Admin roles. Limited Access users and agency users are free. You can add paid seats at any time, and Ashby invoices the extra seats pro rata at the end of each quarter. You cannot reduce paid seats mid-term; that waits for renewal.
The help article illustrates the arithmetic with 20 seats "at $795/user/year each". That is Ashby's worked example, not a published price for Plus.
The practical consequence for a company near 100 people is that seat count joins the question. Plus is still priced on company size, usage and commitment, but every hiring manager with Elevated Access is now a paid seat. The help article describes swapping an occasionally active hiring manager down to Limited Access and promoting someone else, so the paid-seat total does not grow.
What Foundations includes and what costs extra
Foundations covers the core of Ashby for a small company: the ATS and sourcing tools with multi-channel sequences and a Chrome extension, interview plans and scheduling with direct booking links, and offers with e-signature (one offer template on Foundations, unlimited on Plus). It also includes 200 sourcing email lookups a month, 1,500 AI credits a month and 1,000 outbound text messages a month.
The comparison table on the pricing page marks these as extra on Foundations:
| Item | On Foundations |
|---|---|
| SSO | $100 a month (included on Plus and Enterprise) |
| AI Notetaker | Paid add-on on every plan, price not published |
| Extra sourcing email lookups | Paid add-on on every plan, price not published |
| Extra AI credits | Purchasable, price not published |
| Extra text messages | $90 per 1,000 |
Some features are not available on Foundations at any price. Ashby's Advanced Scheduling features, including the AI Auto-Scheduler, scheduling requests, calendar holds and automated interviewer training, are marked as unavailable on Foundations, sold as an add-on on Plus and included on Enterprise. Approval workflows, SCIM directory sync, a sandbox instance and custom permission roles also start at Plus.
On implementation, Ashby's FAQ says baseline onboarding and Customer Success support are included for every customer, with a priced implementation service reserved for its largest customers and optional professional services quoted up front.
Ashby and Greenhouse on price
The comparison on price is short, because only one side publishes one. Greenhouse's pricing page lists three plans, Core, Plus and Pro, and says "Greenhouse pricing is customized based on your company's hiring needs." No plan carries a figure.
So a founder comparing the two can compare Ashby's published number for their headcount against a Greenhouse quote, and not against any price on Greenhouse's pricing page. Ask Greenhouse for a quote at your current size and at the size you expect in a year. Ashby's ladder gives you both of its numbers as long as you stay at or under 100 people.
Where Glozo fits
Ashby is where candidates are tracked, scheduled and sequenced. Foundations comes with a Chrome extension and 200 email lookups a month, which assumes you already know who you want to reach. Finding those people is a separate job, and at seed and Series A it often falls to a founder. Our guide to hiring engineers without a recruiter covers that founder-led route.
Glozo searches candidates across 30+ sources in plain English. Every profile carries a market compensation estimate and an Open to Offers signal, so you can see what the market pays for a profile, and whether the person is likely to be open to a move, before you reach out. Glozo connects to Ashby through a custom integration that our support team sets up on request. You still make every call on who to contact and who to hire.
