Search prompts
How to write effective natural language queries to leverage the full power of Glozo's parser.
What is a Prompt?
A prompt is a natural language description of the ideal candidate. Unlike legacy sourcing tools that require complex Boolean strings (AND, OR, NOT) and endless dropdown menus, Glozo allows you to describe the role as if you were briefing a colleague.
Beyond Keywords: Deep Parsing
When you submit a prompt, our AI does not just look for matching words. It performs a multi-dimensional analysis, parsing your request into a complex set of professional criteria simultaneously.
This means you can include sophisticated requirements in your prompt, and the system will understand them:
- Core Criteria: Role, Skills, Industry, Location.
- Professional Background: Specific companies (e.g., "ex-Google"), types of companies ("startups", "agencies"), or career trajectory.
- Credentials: Education levels ("MBA", "PhD") and specific certifications ("PMP", "AWS Certified").
Two Ways to Start
1. The Natural Language Approach Type a sentence describing the candidate. To immediately trigger a high Match Score, try to touch on different layers of the candidate's profile:
- Example: "I need a Senior Product Manager (Role) with fintech experience (Industry) based in London (Location). Must have an MBA (Education) and previous experience at scale-ups (Background)."
2. The "Copy-Paste" Approach (Job Descriptions) Don't want to type from scratch? Simply paste your full Job Description (JD) into the search box.
- How it works: Our AI decomposes the JD, extracts all implicit and explicit requirements (including soft skills, certifications, and seniority), and automatically constructs a high-precision query for you.
Examples: Good vs. Low Quality
High Precision (Green Score) These prompts give the AI rich context to analyze multiple parameters:
- ✓ "Marketing Manager in Berlin, fluent in German, with a background in B2B SaaS and Hubspot certification."(Hits: Role, Loc, Language, Industry, Certs).
- ✓ "Senior Data Scientist, 5+ years experience, PhD preferred, looking for remote work." (Hits: Role, Seniority, Education, Loc).
- ✓ "React Native Developer who has worked at top-tier consulting firms." (Hits: Role, Skills, Past Company Type).
Low Precision (Red/Yellow Score) These prompts are too vague. The AI has to "guess" the missing parameters:
- ✗ "Good developer" (Too subjective).
- ✗ "Sales manager" (Missing industry, location, and seniority).
- ✗ "Python" (Is this a junior? A lead? A data analyst?).
Refining Your Prompt
Don't worry if your initial prompt isn't perfect. If you miss a parameter (e.g., you forgot to mention "Education"), the AI Chat will likely ask you about it to improve the search quality.
- Action: Simply answer the bot or type "Add requirement: Master's degree only" into the chat.
- Result: Click "Update candidates" to refresh the list with the new criteria applied.
