Email Personalization

Use variables and AI Smart Commands to personalize emails at scale.

Last updated: December 10, 2025

Types of Personalization

There are two ways to personalize emails:

Variables

Variables insert specific data fields:

• {First Name} — candidate's first name

• {Last Name} — candidate's last name

• {Current Company} — where they work now

• {Current Title} — their job title

• {Location} — their location

Using Variables

Type { in the editor to see available variables, or click the variable icon in the toolbar.

Always use {First Name} in your greeting. Generic "Hi there" reduces response rates.

AI Smart Commands

AI generates custom content for each candidate:

Pre-set Commands

• Summarize relevant work experience

• Highlight matching skills

• Note shared connections

Custom Commands

Write your own instructions:

• "Write one sentence about their fintech experience"

• "Mention a recent project from their profile"

• "Comment on their career progression"

Best Practices for AI Commands

Be specific about:

• Topic — what aspect to focus on

• Length — one sentence, two sentences, etc.

• Tone — professional, casual, enthusiastic

Always review AI-generated content before sending. Occasionally adjust for accuracy.

Personalization Examples
